Jordann McKenna is a multidisciplinary artist from Ithaca, New York and she was born with her eyes wide open. Eager to see the world since her first day here she understands the power of observation. Her subject material changes with the day to day experiences she encounters. McKenna is interested in the in between and quiet moments of everyday life. Her work processes the beauty, joy, sadness, and complex emotions that hide in the unnoticed corners of the world. Embracing both the personal and the universal she captures moments that have a lot to say. Sometimes these scenes even hold contradicting information but the threshold between spaces and feelings reveals an awareness of the intricate details of mundanity.
